ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems)

ADAS is a safety feature fitted to most modern-day vehicles to help reduce these accidents happening. It is a crucial part in the ever-growing number of safety functions on modern day vehicles designed to improve driver, passenger, and pedestrian safety by reducing both the severity and overall number of motor vehicle accidents. ADAS can warn drivers of potential dangers, intervene to help the driver remain in control to help prevent an accident and if necessary, reduce the severity of an accident if it can't be avoided. In short, ADAS helps compensate for our mistakes.

Here at TyreMarks we have vast knowledge of ADAS systems. Most of our technicians are IMI qualified in repair and calibration and we are using the latest up to date tools to carry this out. ADAS calibration is required for many reasons, such as after repair work or replacement of parts to your vehicle's chassis or suspension, windscreen replacement or wheel alignment adjustment. All these things and many more can affect how you ADAS system works, so you need to know this safety system working correctly in case it ever needs to intervein in an emergency. As with any system, the incorrect set up can have adverse effects, and with this system, the results could be dangerous.

Below gives you an idea of the different types of ADAS commonly fitted to vehicles, most of which we now take for granted and we know how good these systems can be. But they are only this good when they are calibrated correctly.
